The Princeton University Art Museum contains several items connected to Mount Athos, including two leaves from Gospel Books from the 12th and the 15th centuries; a 14th-century Gospel book; a bifolium from a 15th-century Gospel book, representing the Evangelist Mark; and the preparatory drawings of an early 19th century Chalkidiki painter’s workshop that was active on Mount Athos (PUAM 2015.2.1-93) which offer other invaluable resources for scholars.
